One of the issues that is always discussed on the topic of inviting people to Islam is using a language that can be understood. Scholars spend time learning the languages required to do this but there are other practical measures that are required to make the invitation complete.
The manner of invitation needs to be framed within a conduct that is deemed acceptable to the people being invited. Some acts, which are sunnah, may be misunderstood. Slurping a hot drink for instance. We need to be mindful of how our actions are seen and interpreted by people of different cultural heritages.
Timing is also to be considered. An ill timed invitation is no invitation at all. There are times when any discussion will be rejected as unsuitable. The invitation also needs to be a notice for a future event. We should not expect someone who is surprised or feels suddenly intimidated to respond positively to what we are saying.
The important thing is we present the message in the best possible way, every time.
